One punch man 2 epia
In One-Punch Man Season 2, an added running joke to Saitama's single knock-out ability is keeping him as far from the A-plot as possible. In fact, it's a good thing when something can still hold our interest with its central protagonist(s) off-screen (or off-page). Main characters don't always have to be at the center of every storyline. We wish we could say the same for the rest of One-Punch Man's second season, which, for the most part, has been a disappointment. RELATED: VIDEO: This is One-Punch Man's Funniest Moment There's just something addictively satisfying about watching a villain-of-the-week's cocky monologue being interrupted by a single, devastating punch over and over again. Against all odds, this repetitive gag has yet to outstay its welcome two seasons in. Season 1 was almost perfectly formed from start to finish, giving Season 2 the unenviable task of wringing more juice out of what is essentially a single note joke: A hero whose central conflict is that he's too successful. Its ludicrously overpowered titular hero pokes fun at both shonen and superhero archetypes, giving One-Punch Man huge cross-genre appeal for anime and comic book aficionados alike. This feat was achieved through sharp, witty writing, crisp and fluid animation, a catchy, anthemic theme song and, most importantly, a unique spin on tried (and tired) tropes. One-Punch Man's debut season made the show one of the breakout anime hits of 2015.
